I went on the Florida State High School website to find class pages to view. It was very simple to access the list of class sites from the main page, where I was able to pick a department, and then choose a teacher within that department to view that specific page. Since I am a Pre-Social Science Education major, I chose the teacher who is the chair of the Social Studies department and who teaches classes that I am very interested in teaching. I chose the page for his AP Human Geography class, which he is teaching to high schoolers, since it is an introductory college-level class. On this page, it is possible to publicly view a brief description of the course, his class syllabus, guidelines, weekly overview, and overall class calendar. It is very easy to access and maneuver, and has all of the information that a student or parent would want to view.

As an aspiring higher-age-level teacher, I envision myself using a lot of software in my classroom. Word processing software such as Microsoft Word will be very commonly used in my teaching methods, as ways to type up newsletters and have my students submit assignments after having created them on Word. Another software that would be effective and efficient to use as a teacher would be the various presentation softwares that are available, such as Microsoft Powerpoint and Prezi, as well as interactive online software, such as google drive, which would make group projects and editing very convenient.

From the Tech Sandbox, there was a lot of different technologies tat I learned about that could be used in the classroom. For one, Smart Boards of any kind would be very good to use in my future classrooms. They are very interactive and convenient because they have so many different features. Another technology is Virtual reality, and I think that it has a lot of potential to be in my future classrooms. With social studies, studying topics such as countries and history would be very fun and easy to connect to the topics.
