I really like how there are a large variety of Web 2.0 tools that are available for teacher's to use in the classroom and with their students. Personally, I believe that Twitter is a very useful tool for the classroom because it is easy to interact with their students and monitor what pages and topics they are tracking for educational purposes. I also think that it is convenient in this day in age because it is a medium that lot of students are already actively using and involved in. I believe that this can benefit a teacher's professional development by expanding the medium because it creates a new connection between teacher and students and can focus on topics within the curriculum and avoid irrelevant information. I am personally not a fan of blogs but I can see how they are a good resource for teachers and their students.
I am personally a fan of Kahoot, and it's effectiveness within the classroom. It can be personalized for any lesson and is interactive enough to encourage participation, without being difficult or inconvenient to use.

I think that augmented reality is a huge promise for the future of education because it essentially has unlimited possibilities. Many different interactive programs for a variety of study subjects can be created to use, and I believe with further development, it could become a potentially very affordable teaching resource. I want to teach history, and this would be immensely helpful and interesting to have in classes focusing on topics like that.
